Wedence (“we”, “us”) makes wedding websites, digital invitations, and guest-management tools. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Last updated: 18 September 2026.
What we collect
Account details you give us when you sign up — your name, email address, and phone number.
Wedding content you add to your invitation — names, events, venues, dates, photos, and messages.
Guest information — contact details you upload, and responses guests submit through your invitation (RSVPs, attendance, wishes, and similar details).
How we use it
We use this information to render your invitation, run RSVP and guest-management features, and send you service messages about your account. We do not sell your data or your guests’ data to anyone.
Your guests’ data stays yours
Guest information belongs to the wedding it was collected for. Each wedding’s data is kept isolated — it is never shared with other couples or used to contact your guests for anything other than your wedding.
Connecting ChatGPT
You can connect your Wedence dashboard to ChatGPT, so you can ask questions about your own wedding — how many guests have replied, who is still to answer, what is left on your checklist. This is off unless you switch it on, and you can disconnect it at any time from ChatGPT.
While it is connected, what we send to answer your questions includes your wedding details, your guest list with names, groups and RSVP replies, your planning checklist, your budget, and the wishes guests have written. We never send your guests’ phone numbers or email addresses. The connection can only read: it cannot add or edit guests, change your wedding, or message anyone.
What you ask, and what we send back, is then handled by OpenAI under their own privacy policy and your ChatGPT settings — not ours. If you would rather your guests’ names were not shared this way, simply do not connect ChatGPT.
Cookies & analytics
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics tools (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
Advertising measurement
On our marketing pages we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API to measure whether our ads work. If you reach us through an ad and enquire or sign up, we may share your contact details (phone or email) with Meta in hashed (scrambled) form, along with standard device information, solely to attribute that enquiry to the ad. We do not run advertising tools on live invitation pages — your guests are never tracked for ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Who processes it
Your data is stored with infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf (hosting, database, and email delivery). They may not use it for their own purposes. OpenAI is the one exception, and only if you connect ChatGPT yourself: it receives what you ask about, under your own agreement with them rather than on our behalf.
Your choices
You can edit your wedding content anytime from your dashboard. To export or permanently delete your account or your guest data, write to us and we will do it.
